Biograd is a well-known tourist and nautical center located in the central Adriatic coast.
The neighbourhood of national parks (the Kornati islands), Paklenica (the Velebit mountain), the river Krka waterfalls, nature parks Telascica on Long Island and the Lake Vrana (rich with freshwater fish and swamp birds settling on its banks), and numerous islands and islets in the lovely island Pasman channel offer the possibility to organize excursions to most outstanding places along the Croatian Adriatic coast. The nearby cities of Zadar, Šibenik or Nin are abundant with sites from Croatian history and cultural heritage through centuries.
